JEROME Story Map.doc mei-ling and the giant

Creating a story map is a way to help you understand and summarize the stories you read.  When you make a story map, you identify the basic story elements, such as the characters, setting, conflict, and important plot events.
Read your story. Create a story map using google docs under the headings on the template provided. Share your story map on your individual blog after you have edited it.
Story Map
Title: mei-ling and the giant
Author: Jane Thomson
Characters: mei-ling
The giant
Setting: her house and the hills
Conflict: mei-ling and her family is very poor and can’t find any ginseng
Resolution: at the end the giant showed her the jack-pot of ginseng
And her family became very $rich$

Beginning: mei-ling and her father were looking for ginseng but they had no luck:( but one night mei-ling  went on her own trying to find
Ginseng but she was getting tired and fell asleep
Middle: when she woke up she was in the hands of a giant. The giant took her up a mountain and put her in a cave and gave her some raw meat and had the rest for himself then the next day she woke up tired to a tree and the giant left her tired to the tree she was there for ages and she heard howling and she saw a pack

End:of wolves rushing towards her but when they came they fell and stopped howling the giant shot the wolves he was using mei-ling as bait. weeks passed mei-ling that she got so home sick that she could not stop crying the giant then took her back and showed her all the ginseng she could imagine then her and her family had all the $money$ they could ask for and they lived happily ever after
